Josh Jeffers has been training with dogs since 2010. Always having a furry friend by his side growing up in life, his passion for dogs started early on. After his time in the military, his love for dogs motivated Josh to became a dog trainer in Jacksonville. His career as a dog trainer started with Petco where he helped hundreds of people develop better relationships with their dogs. As a Dog training mentor he was responsible for over 600 group class sessions along with working with new trainers to help get them started with their own classes.

While still with PetCo, Josh joined K9s for Warriors, an organization that provides service dogs to veterans with PTSD and other injuries resulting from their service in the military.  To further develop his skills he worked with Mayo Clinic’s “Caring Canines” Unit, running seminars for their handlers and became a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator in Florida. Realizing he could help clients achieve their goals faster through private in home training he joined the Sit Happens team as the head trainer for the next six years.

Josh then became the owner of Tails of Success were he helps dogs and owners by channeling his enthusiasm to make training a fun and exciting process. His goal is to help people live beyond the leash and build a stronger relationship with their dogs. His training programs provide the communication skills necessary to be confident in any situation with your furry friend.
